Services
Eleven service lines, described as they are actually delivered. Most engagements combine several of them; each is available on its own where that is what a situation needs.

Index of services
01
Custom software development
Systems built around a specific process instead of bent to fit a package.
We start from the process rather than the feature list: who performs each step, what they need in front of them, and where the current tooling forces a workaround. That analysis becomes a written specification with acceptance criteria, which is what we estimate against.
Delivery is incremental. Each iteration produces software running in a shared environment, so scope discussions happen against something real. The result is handed over with architecture notes, runbooks and a test suite that documents expected behaviour.
02
Web application development
Browser-based applications with attention to performance and accessibility.
We build server-rendered and single-page applications, internal back-office tools, customer portals and public sites. Front-end structure, API contracts and data access are designed together so that pages stay fast as the dataset grows.
Performance budgets, semantic markup, keyboard operability and readable contrast are treated as requirements from the first iteration rather than corrections made near launch.
03
Mobile solutions
Applications for phones and tablets, including offline-tolerant field tools.
Mobile work covers native and cross-platform applications, with the choice driven by device capability requirements, release cadence and the team that will maintain the result.
We pay particular attention to intermittent connectivity, local storage, background synchronisation and update mechanics, since those are the areas that most often decide whether a mobile tool is actually used in the field.
04
Cloud architecture
Environments described in code, sized to real load, observable by default.
We design cloud environments on mainstream providers: networking, compute, managed data services, identity and access boundaries, deployment pipelines and monitoring. Configuration lives in version control so environments can be rebuilt rather than repaired.
Cost is treated as an architectural constraint. We model expected usage, choose services accordingly, and put reporting in place so spend is visible to the people who own the budget.
05
Infrastructure modernisation
Moving long-lived systems forward without a shutdown.
Modernisation begins with an inventory: what runs where, which dependencies are unsupported, what nobody has documented. From that we produce a staged plan where each step is independently useful and reversible.
Typical work includes containerising deployments, replacing manual server configuration with automation, separating environments properly, and introducing backups and restore drills where they were assumed but never tested.
06
Cybersecurity consulting
Practical review and remediation, prioritised by exposure.
We review identity and access management, secret handling, network exposure, dependency currency and configuration drift, and we model the threats that are realistic for your context rather than a generic checklist.
Findings are delivered as a prioritised remediation plan with effort estimates, and we can implement the fixes and the pipeline controls that keep them in place. Residual risk is stated plainly; we do not certify or guarantee security.
07
Data engineering
Pipelines and models where every figure has a traceable origin.
We build ingestion and transformation pipelines, define reporting models, and document lineage so a number in a dashboard can be traced back to its source records.
Data quality is enforced with tests on the values themselves — expected ranges, referential integrity, freshness — so that a broken upstream feed raises an alert instead of quietly changing a report.
08
Business process automation
Removing mechanical steps, keeping human judgement.
We map a process end to end, identify the steps that are purely mechanical, and automate those: document generation, data transfer between systems, scheduled reconciliation, notifications and approvals routing.
Automated steps are observable and reversible. Where a decision requires judgement, the system presents the information and records the choice rather than guessing on the operator’s behalf.
09
UI/UX and product design
Interface architecture, interaction detail and a design system that holds.
Design work covers task analysis, information architecture, wireframes, interaction states and a component system implemented in code alongside the application.
We design the unglamorous states as carefully as the ideal one: empty views, long text, partial data, permission errors and slow connections. Accessibility requirements are specified with the visual design, not retrofitted.
10
Technical consulting
Independent review, architecture advice and technical due diligence.
We assess existing systems and plans: architecture review, build-or-buy analysis, technology selection, delivery process review and pre-investment technical due diligence.
Output is a written assessment with the evidence behind each observation, options with trade-offs, and a recommendation you can act on with or without our involvement in the implementation.
11
Software maintenance and optimisation
Keeping working systems supported, patched and fast enough.
Maintenance covers dependency and platform updates, defect resolution, small enhancements, monitoring, and periodic review of backups and restore procedures. Work is scheduled and reported so the effort spent is visible.
Optimisation is evidence-led: we profile before changing anything, address the measured bottleneck — query plans, caching, payload size, background work — and verify the improvement against the same measurement.

Engagement enquiries
How to describe your requirement
A short note covering the system involved, the outcome you need and any fixed dates is usually enough for a first reply. Details on what to include are on the Contacts page.
